Valley Interfaith Action: An Interactive Social Media Campaign
Campaign by: Anjali Sharma, Victoria Fontana, Julia Kupczak, Bella Warrick
The Client: Valley Interfaith Action (VIA)
“Valley Interfaith Action is a broad-based, non-partisan, multi-issue volunteer leader-led power organization made up of dues-paying member institutions in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. We bring together leaders and their institutions across the lines that often divide us — political, rural-urban, race, faith, to take action on our common interests and improve the lives of families in our community. “ (Valley Interfaith Action)
Create an interactive social media campaign that engages and brings together VIA’s followers through designs that highlight the VIA community and members.
The Ask:
Our Big Idea:
We were inspired by the New York Times games, such as Wordle, Connections, etc., that so many of us play! Games are a great way to create online interaction that is both fun, interactive, and useful.
Thus, we created VIA games!
the deliverables: from sketch to Instagram story!
Our word search design fostered engagement in 2 different ways:
(1) users were asked in the first story to respond to the question box with a word that described their experience or connection to VIA
(2) users could then play the word search, made with user-generated words, and repost to their own story!
The crossword was created as a source of both user engagement, fun, and education about VIA!
the deliverables: from sketch to Facebook!
Our MadLibs VIA game was not only a fun nostalgic activity, but it was also a way for us to highlight VIA members, bringing the VIA community closer together!
